I got 2 flats and was around the corner from Pichón Tires. He identified the issue and patched both tires at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him. Great service at a fair price.

Common questions and tips from our work with Chicago customers.
- What causes trailer tire blowouts?
- Most trailer blowouts start with a tire running underinflated, which builds heat in the sidewall until the tire fails. Overloading, old or weather-cracked rubber, and damage from curbs or road debris add to the risk. Trailer tires also get scrubbed in tight turns, which wears them in ways a driver may not notice from the cab.
- Can you replace a trailer tire on the highway?
- Yes. Trailer tires can be repaired or replaced on the shoulder, at a truck stop or in your yard, just like truck tires. Call (773) 444-7333 with your location, the tire size from the sidewall, and which axle and side the damaged tire is on, so we come ready for the job.
Tip
Check the trailer tires you cannot see
Trailer tires are easy to skip on a pre-trip, especially the inside duals. Check pressure with a gauge, look for nails, cuts and bulges, and watch for uneven wear. A tire that wears on one edge or in patches can point to an alignment, bearing or brake problem on that axle.
